Cisco Acquires Acano
Yes it’s true – for only $700 million Cisco intends to acquire Acano. This is slightly less than it appears due to exchange rates and tax policies.
The side story is one man’s journey back to Cisco: OJ Winge went from Tandberg to head Cisco Collaboration. Before he left Cisco, he worked with the company to find his replacement, and was actually part of recruiting Rowan Trollope. OJ left Cisco and ended up as the CEO of Acano with many of his older Tandberg contacts. He and they now report to Rowan.
