Cisco #CScape Recap with Zeus
Zeus Kerravla and I recently attended the CScape conference (for analysts) which runs within the larger Cisco Live event. Cisco Live US is Cisco’s annual customer and partner event. This year it took place in Las Vegas. Both CScape and CLive are focused on the entire Cisco, unlike the Cisco Collaboration Summit which focuses just on the products and services of the Cisco Collaboration unit. The next Cisco Collaboration Summit is tentatively planned for Spring 2017.
Since the content was so broad there were only a handful of collaboration analysts at CScape. It was really interesting to see how Collaboration fits into the larger picture (nicely). The hot topics were IoT, Machine Learning, Security, and Cloud. Unfortunately, CScape was only two days vs. the larger four day event of Cisco Live. This resulted with a highly condensed schedule, that created some gaps. Had I realized this I probably would have stayed a bit longer to attend general CLive sessions. I ended up watching some keynotes and sessions remotely when I got back to Colorado (including Collaboration Re-Imagined). Also, I would have enjoyed more time on the Expo show floor. Nonetheless, a highly informative and first class event.
Watch this video of Zeus and I discussing some of the key messages we heard and our reactions to them.
