Review: Cisco Desk Pro
At 17 minutes, this is the longest review I have posted. That’s because the Desk Pro is a sophisticated product with numerous use cases.
One thing I didn’t mention in the video is Desk Pro admin is all done from the Webex Hub. A user can unpack, connect, and enter a code for streamlined provisioning.
The following information is provided from Cisco.

I’ve had my desk pro for a couple of months and have two major complains.
1) You can’t connect a fire stick, Chromecast, or similar device to the HDMI input because the desk pro doesn’t have the ability to support this devices, while the larger “spark board” devices do. Seems like an easy software fix.
2) You can’t wirelessly “cast” from Webex on your device to the desk pro the way you can with the larger “spark board” devices. Again, should be an easy software fix.
For me, this severely limits the usefulness of this very expensive product. Our company’s Webex admin had brought both of these issues to Cisco, and they have no intention of doing anything about it. No wonder they are losing market share to Zoom and everyone else in this space.
