July was Acquisitive
I just published my monthly Quipz newsletter recapping July’s news in enterprise communications.
As I expected, July was a bit light. There was only one major event: Google Next (but it was a doozy). That didnt’ really result in a shorter newsletter. I took some liberties with a few longer opinions. The newsletter came out something like this:
UC-Centric News
12 stories – including Google Voice and the UC MQ.
Messaging-Centric News
12 stories including three new comers in team collaboration. Slack Puts Atlassian Out of Team Misery
Video-Centric News
5 stories featuring Zoom, LifeSize, and Starleaf.
Customer Engagement News
6 stories including the Phillies and a question about English speaking foreign agents.
Provider-Centric News
3 stories including an update on 5G.
Emerging Technologies
2 AI stories regarding Facebook and Einstein
Miscellaneous
Morse Code, Authy, and 4 other stories.
Acquisitions
7 relevant acquisitions in July. More on Aug 1, but that will be in next month’s issue.
Financial Quipz
2 fund raising runs.
