Wanted: Young and Innovative
We are just about to launch Innovation Showcase 2014. Each year at Enterprise Connect, we recognize four young companies for innovative contributions to enterprise communications. Enterprise communications is, of course, a broad area. The solution could involve voice communications, mobile applications, collaboration, messaging, WebRTC applications and infrastructure, video applications, conferencing, white-boarding, even fax – there’s no clear definition other than the fostering of communications among individuals or teams.
There’s multiple criteria for eligibility, but only three big ones:
- The product must be reasonably new, specifically publicly launched after June 1 2010.
- The innovative company must be small, specifically annual revenues less than $5 million.
- The product or service in question must be suitable for the enterprise (rather than SMB or consumer markets). For this test, we require an implementation or pilot in an organization with at least 250 employees (with or without IT’s knowledge). The reference and contact must be included with the request for consideration. We understand that such a reference is not the same as a customer reference, thus this information is considered confidential.
The companies selected for the showcase will receive a spotlight in a short big-stage presentation, booth space in the largest enterprise communications exhibit hall, full admission to the conference, and even a hotel room at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando. There is no application fee, so not much to risk.
The complete rules for eligibility and consideration will be posted at EnterpriseConnect.com. The deadline to apply is Feb 11, 2014.
