This TalkingPointz report attempts to further extrapolate and interpret the Gartner 2024 Magic Quadrant (MQ) for UCaaS.
The report examines the Gartner report: “Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications as a Service” (Document ID G00806425, October 2024) by Sheth, Fernandez, Trueman, and Benitez.
The MQ graphic identifies five Leaders: 8×8, Cisco, Microsoft, RingCentral, and Zoom. That seems like a reasonable group. Google is the only provider in the Challengers Quadrant. There are no providers in the Visionaries Quadrant. The dreaded Niche Quadrant includes Dialpad, GoTo, Sangoma, Vonage, and Wildix.
This UCaaS MQ is the only MQ from Gartner for Unified Communications. Years ago, there was a corporate telephone MQ (for PBX systems). A separate MQ for CCaaS overlaps with many of the same providers.
