VPN Safety
If you think that you are perfectly safe when you use a VPN, then you don’t understand how they work.
A VPN protects your data from your phone, tablet or laptop up to the VPN provider. So it protects the data going through an unsecured hotspot. But it provides zero protection beyond the VPN provider.
But it gets worse:
You are entrusting all of your data to the VPN provider. The VPN provider knows who you are. They probably have your credit card, your billing address, and all of the data you send. This means that they have your email credentials, including your password.
What if the bad guys happened to be the VPN provider? That would be a very very bad thing.
So use care and discretion when choosing a VPN provider.

you have a point there. if your provider is properly registered and has a real location like ivacy does, then that really helps. doesn’t completely bridge all gaps but at least you can be a bit closer to privacy. being registered also ensures they aren’t fake. then the only issue that’s left is that of logs, for that, you can always check the provider’s policy on it before signing up. and even after that, there’s always some point where we have to put our trust in someone, look back at the whole life we’ve lived so far, just as an example. but that doesn’t mean one can start committing hideous crimes behind a vpn’s shield like child p**** or terrorism or something.
