AV1 is the codec that we all expected six years ago when Google introduced WebM. While politics and other factors limited the potential of WebRTC, that’s all about to change. It’s time to get familiar with AV1. That’s because just about every video related OEM – conferencing vendors, browser makers, and streaming providers are embracing a future of royalty-free Internet video.
