TalkingPointz Research: UCaaS Mobility 3.0
Last March, At Enterprise Connect, three (3) vendors included smartphone mobility demos in their keynotes. That's three major providers: Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams, and RingCentral demonstrating AT&T Office@Hand by RingCentral.
[This research note is 8 pages and is written in the dense TalkingPointz format. It takes a look at the three solutions, the history, why its so disruptive, and why one vendor has a significant advantage. It is available to All Access subscribers only.]
Smartphone demos in a UC/UCaaS keynote are not new, but these were different. Each demonstration showed a UCaaS-powered smartphone. These were not call forwarding (UC/UCaaS Mobility 1.0) or OTT apps (UC/UCaaS Mobility 2.0). These were smartphones that were indeed UCaaS extensions and using the higher quality native dialer on the smartphone. These were UCaaS Mobility 3.0 demos. This technology is poised to disrupt everything.
