TalkingHeadz Podcast with Noreen Allen of Bandwidth

by Dave Michels

Bandwidth (NASDAQ: BAND) is a Raleigh, NC-based software company focused on communications for the enterprise. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Cisco, Zoom, Dialpad, and RingCentral use Bandwidth’s APIs to power their voice, messaging, and 911 access into software and applications. It provides an unusual mix of UCaaS and CPaaS services that are often indirectly obtained through its network of partners, but Bandwidth also sells directly to enterprises. The company was founded in 1999 by David Morken who remains at the helm.

Based on her prior experience, I did not expect Noreen to stay as Bandwidth for this long. But, who can blame her —  what a ride it’s been.  She got to manage the IPO is 2017, and facilitate Bandwidth’s valuation sky rocket: $1B in 2018, $2B in 2019, and $4B in 2020. She is working with elite customer partners in UCaaS and making the world safer with innovative 911 services. She also works with stars internally, and as we learn in this podcast works at a company that values employee diversity and growth.

I really enjoyed this conversation, and I think you will too.
